Facebook Competition Terms

By entering the Competition the entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions and our Terms of Use.

1.    Promoter

The promoter is Ranger Stu (Stuart Short).

2.    Eligibility

This Competition is open to residents of the UK who are 18 years or over.

Only one entry per person is permitted and entries that are automatically generated by computer will be disqualified. 

3.    How to enter

To enter the Competition an entrant must comment with the name of the school, scout and guide group, charity or organisation in the comment box below the Facebook competition post. Entry to the Competition starts on Sunday 6th December and the closing date is 23:59 GMT on Monday 14th December (“Closing Date”). 

No purchase is required.

Late, illegible, incomplete or inaccurate entries will not be accepted.  No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. 

The winner will be chosen by a random name picker from entries received by the closing date.  The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

4.    Prize 

The prize is 1 x 1 hour Ranger Stu's Virtual Zoo visit (A virtual educational experience featuring live animals.) This will take place over Zoom.

 

5.    Notification

The winner will be notified by Facebook Messenger (using the profile provided at the time of entry) within 3 calendar days of the Closing Date. 

If Stuart Short cannot contact the winner via the profile provided at the time of entry by 23:59 GMT 5 calendar days after the Closing date, he reserves the right to re-draw a winner who will be notified immediately by Facebook Messenger.

Should that alternative winner not be immediately contactable Stuart Short reserves the right to keep re-drawing a winner until one can be found who is contactable.

At the time of notification of being the winner of the competition the winner must provide Stuart Short with an email address to arrange the virtual visit to take place. 

6.    Limitation of liability

To the extent permissible by law, Stuart Short will not be responsible for or liable to compensate the winner for any loss, damage, personal injury or death as a result of taking up the prize except where caused by the negligence of Stuart Short.

7.    General

If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Stuart Short may, in its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude an entrant from participating in the competition.

Stuart Short reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.  Entrants hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts
